Keep classroom names close
Local storage is useful. It is not a locked cabinet.
What remains in this browser
The roster, absence choices, current round, picked identities and up to 500 recent selections are stored in localStorage on this website. The app code does not upload rosters or student names, and does not implement cloud accounts, analytics or advertising trackers.
What a page visit transmits
The browser fetches this website’s pages and assets from its hosting provider. Routine host logs can contain network information such as IP addresses, browser information, URLs and timestamps. Names are not added to URLs or sent by the app. Host policies and configuration should be reviewed before classroom deployment.
Choose less identifying labels
Prefer aliases or first names with initials. Do not enter student identifiers, contact information, disability information, grades or other private records. Follow your school’s policies for classroom tools. This app does not claim education privacy certification or legal compliance.
Understand shared access
Anyone using this browser profile can see saved names and turn history. Projector view only hides teacher controls visually; it is not a password-protected teacher account. Wheel names and the current result remain visible while projecting.
Clear the classroom
Clear classroom data replaces the app’s saved roster, progress and history with sample names and a revision marker after confirmation. The marker prevents stale tabs from silently restoring deleted content. Browser site-data settings can also clear the stored record. Clearing this app does not remove browser backups or screenshots that someone else may have created.
When storage is unavailable
Blocked or full storage means round progress lasts only in the open page. Private browsing and browser cleanup can erase saved records. There is no cross-device sync or restore service. Use this as a lightweight classroom routine, not your only record of a required activity.
